Intech3 director, Todd Afford, attended the 13th annual Information Technology in Aged Care (ITAC) conference in Brisbane in March 2020. The theme of this year’s conference was “Transforming Independence through Innovative Technology emphasises the importance of assistive technology supporting service quality and independence. Of special interest were the sessions devoted to the Data Analytics – using data to better manage care outcomes and Innovation and Technology Deployment. Using integrated Data to Improve Service Outcomes.
It was a fantastic opportunity to hear from local and international experts in fields of residential aged care, community care, medication management, assistive technologies and offsite information systems delivery. It was great to collaborate with a number of our current clients and technology partners in the industry, and discuss relevant topics such as the current reforms, and how technology can play a part in assisting providers with managing this change.
Congratulations to the organising committee for conducting such a well-run and informative conference, and to all the winners of the Aged Care Industry IT Awards.
