In October 2023 Intech3 personnel attended the Aged & Community Care Providers Association (ACCPA) National Conference in Adelaide.
The conference theme ‘The Age of Change’ is relevant to Intech3 as it encapsulates advancements in technology, society and culture, as well as the possibilities and challenges of this era in aged care.
The conference offered a rich variety of interactive workshops and panel discussions covering a spectrum of topics. Of particular interest were thought-provoking presentations on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and how this will impact the aged care industry in the future, including but not limited to Fall Detection and Prevention, Telehealth and Remote Monitoring, Cognitive Assistance, Social Interaction and Smart Home Integration.
Intech3 director Todd Afford stated, “it will be fascinating to observe how AI will evolve in the coming years to help shape the future of aged care. AI will not replace the warmth of human interaction, but rather, it will augment our compassion and efficiency, providing a helping hand to caregivers and companionship to the elderly, fostering a harmonious blend of technology and empathy.”
There was dynamic atmosphere at the conference where innovation, collaboration, and excellence converged across three days of sessions, networking opportunities and an extensive trade exhibition.
Further to this valuable ACCPA National Conference, Intech3 is planning on attending the Innovation and Technology Across Care (ITAC) National Conference 2024 in Queensland in March 2024.
